Volunteering

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties belongs to the communities it serves. Here’s how you can help:

1. Get two friends to commit with you to donate $28 per month. That’s $1,008 per year!

2. Donate your expertise in web design or IT;

3a. Get your company or business to hold a United Way campaign; or 3b. If your company holds a campaign, become a Pacesetter!

4. Serve on a committee: Success By 6, Marketing, Fundraising Campaign, Finance, etc;

5. Volunteer for a half-day project on Day of Caring (in mid-September);

6. Help us distribute or pick-up campaign materials (requires your personal vehicle);

7. Spend a day shredding documents and organizing our office;

8. Hold a garage sale with proceeds benefiting United Way;

9. Provide positive testimony for our website;

10. If you’re with a large company or retired, consider spending 6 weeks with United Way as a loaned executive.
